Inside the Denver Airport

Denver Stapleton Airport

Greetings,

I had to repack and Karin Stanforth drove me to the airport. It was quite busy but I made it on with no problem. I flew back to Cincinnati (actually the airport is in Kentucky). Then I had to drive back to Grayson.

Now I am getting ready for my next trip, next week to England.

I was surprised to see it made of bricks

A grove of Aspen trees. They usually grow after a fire in the area.

I spotted this one roaming around the parking lot.

I didn't know they came in pink, I wonder if seeing a pink dinosaur is like seeing a pink elephant.

Greetings,

Today we drove from Salt Lake City to Denver. We headed out early and drove to Park City, Utah for a nice breakfast. This was home to some of the ski events during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Then we headed east on I-80 into Wyoming. When we reached Fort Bridger, Wyoming we headed off the interstate towards Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and the Flaming Gorge Dam.

After seeing this area we headed south towards Vernal, Utah and the Dinosaur National Momument. From here we headed into Colorado and drove through the town of Dinosaur, Colorado. Then we headed south to I-70 where we finally were backtracking to Denver.

I stayed with the Stanforths and said good bye to Daniel and Linda.

Hello

Today we drove from San Jose, CA to Reno, NV. Along the way we drove around Lake Tahoe. It was a beautiful drive around the lake. Tomorrow we have a long journey from Reno to Salt Lake City, Utah. We also stopped in the Donner Pass for a view of Donner Lake. The Donner party was a wagon train traveling to California. They were trapped by snow in the pass during the winter of 1846-47. They are infamous because when they were faced with starvation they decided to eat those in their party that had died.

Greetings,

Today we stayed once again in the San Jose area. We headed across the street from our hotel to visit the Genghis Khan http://www.thetech.org/genghis_khan/ at the Tech Museum. Then we watched the IMAX movie Sea Monsters, http://www.nationalgeographic.com/seamonsters/

Then we headed to San Francisco which is about 45 miles away. We drove across the Golden Gate building and walked out on it for a view. Later we went to Fisherman's Wharf and ate at the Bubba Gump restaurant and then drove downtown to the Orpheum Theater to see Wicked a broadway musical based on the Wizard of Oz story.

Saturday we will drive to Reno Nevada to spend the night. Along the way we will probably stop and see Lake Tahoe.
