Today we drove from San Jose, CA to Reno, NV. Along the way we drove around Lake Tahoe. It was a beautiful drive around the lake. Tomorrow we have a long journey from Reno to Salt Lake City, Utah. We also stopped in the Donner Pass for a view of Donner Lake. The Donner party was a wagon train traveling to California. They were trapped by snow in the pass during the winter of 1846-47. They are infamous because when they were faced with starvation they decided to eat those in their party that had died.
